It has been a shirt of a week......

It has been a shirt of a week - in a really good way!!
Sugarbird designs are popping up on t-shirts in a couple of different ways and it is all very exciting :)

I have teamed up with the lovely Carole from And Sew Forth and she is very cleverly embroidering them onto not only t-shirts, but other apparel, linen and household goods.  Here is some of the lovely work she is doing.  To see what is available and what is possible, just pop over to And Sew Forth's facebook page

And if that is not exciting enough, I went out to see friends the other night, and look at what Kirsty showed up wearing......

I was so excited, not only to see someone wearing one of my designs, but it was great the be able to see a Redbubble product in the flesh.  It was great to see the high quality of the t-shirt itself, as well as to see my image was exactly as I intended it to be.

And Flora Owl is the latest image I have added to my Redbubble shop.  And as you can imagine, there are so many ideas in my head I just need to find the time to put onto paper :)

madeit

This week, apart from another secret project (which will remain secret until they are all finished) I have been making some new things to list in my madeit store.  The poor thing has been rather neglected of late, so I thought it was about time to restock.

Notebooks, with Sugarbird flowers on the covers

Greeting cards, that I think would be lovely as Mothers Day cards.

Butterflies at Play

I love drawing butterflies and I love drawing flowers....so I really enjoyed creating this whimsical doodle titled Butterflies at Play  It doesn't have the elaborate patterns of some of my recent work, but it was as time consuming.  Each of the lotus petals has 4 layers of colour.

The Week That Was #5

WOW, this week started as windy, wet and wild, and not in any fun way.  The Australia Day long weekend was spent getting through the severe weather of an ex-tropical cyclone, that was working its way down the QLD coast.
We live in a high set, so we weren't worried about our home flooding, but it got a bit uncomfortable when we lost power for two days.  We all adapted really well though, even the 13 year old who was suffering from playstation withdrawals.

Somewhere behind these candles is me sitting on the lounge, discovering that I can actually crochet by feel, rather than sight.

Needless to say, we didn't do much outdoor eating over the long weekend.

Both kids were finally both back at school on Wednesday.

And they went back with all of their school books covered and stationery labelled.  No matter how hard I try, I just can't  make myself enjoy doing this chore.

Creatively, I am getting some new supplies in to make some jewellery and also to stock in my craftumi shop. It has been ages since I have played around with beads, and I am really looking forward to it.

I am also still crocheting face clothes.  These two are done in 3ply cotton and are lovely and delicate.

The really exciting part of this week has been getting more of my designs into my redbubble shop.  And there are  more to come :)

I hope you have had a lovely week and that next week is good to :)

Sunshine Cat

I have been enjoying playing with colour this week.  And this image has a lot of my favourite elements in it - flowers, colour blending and a quirky cat, with a sunny disposition :)

This is the finished image and I really like the colours,so bright and sunny after all of the rain we have had recently :)  I will be making her into prints in the next couple of weeks.

And this is what she looks like on a t-shirt.  My prints are now available as clothing, cards, postcards and prints at RedBubble.
